The purpose of AZIOA is simple: to provide qualified Hockey officials to youth and adult ice hockey programs in Arizona. AZIOA attempts to provide officials who are best suited to the level of each game. AZIOA takes an proactive approach and attempts to continually improve the officiating services we provide. AZIOA is not interested in simply “covering” games. We want to develop our officials and provide a quality service to our customers. In addition to the online resources you will find on this site, AZIOA holds meetings on a regular basis to provide training (rules, positioning, game management etc), discuss general information and any issues that may arise throughout the season.

Arizona Independent Officials Association is excited to launch our new program in time for the 2009/2010 season. Our program provides quality programs to support local Arizona rinks with qualified Officials and Scorekeepers. With over 25 years of playing, coaching and officiating experience we are proud of our mentoring, training and conditions programs designed to enhance the experience for both players and officials.
